History
Established in 2006.
Welcome to the beautiful water front venue known as the River House! This splendid rustic building was built in the late 1800’s and then renovated by the Corson family in 2006 in hopes to bring more people into the exquisite town of Index, Washington. As the Corson family continued on in this adventurous restoration, they learned overtime that this town was not only a hub for their adventures but it also contained quite a bit of history and beauty.
A cold stormy winter night-cars pulled off in Index with HWY 2 open. The owners came and opened up this wonderfully lovely restaurant – provided food, drink, shelter and restrooms to all of us stranded travelers. The location, decor, food, music and owners were all wonderful in their own right. Grateful and we will be back!

Stopped in for breakfast on our way to Stevens Pass to ski. Enjoyed everything we had from omelets, burritos, scrambles, pastries and coffee! Be warned the portions are huge! My husband and I split and still didn’t finish it all! Great service! Highly recommend!
